Connolly in the 70s, Rory Bremner, Rik Mayall and Mike Myers in the 80s,
Earl has taken his one-man show worldwide in the 90s. It shows him off as

Sacred People
Funkiest band in the universe! Blair Mackichan on vocals and beatbox,
Kevin Armstrong on guitar, Soul on bass. Sacred People play at every show
because we love them so much! It's true. We do! |

 |
 |
Rain
Rain are regular performers at the show, and are adored (especially by the
ladies). So far, the band have yet to ever play to an audience who doesn't
(A) Dance; (B) Nod their heads in time to the music; or (C) drool. They're
also an excellent live favourite at the show, and are not to be missed. Catch them at The Pinkypoos Experience before they become too famous!
Ed Note: Sorry! Too late. Daniel Pearce who left Rain to be a Pop Idle(sic) appears on the front page of Feb 03 Hello Magazine!

Kevin Armstrong
Guitarist/Producer/Songwriter
Kevin has co-written songs with David Bowie / Shara Nelson / Morrissey and many others. he has also played with
Iggy Pop, Paul McCartney and Elvis Costello - to proverbially name a few. check out his page at
http://www.allmusic.com/
to see a full list of his work to date. Kevin is one of the
world's finest guitarists and has just produced Keziah Jones' new album
"Black Orpheus". |

 |
 |
Keziah Jones
Keziah can't walk down a street in France without being mobbed. This is
because, despite having almost no profile in the UK, his first album ‘Blue
Funk is a Fact’ went to the top of the charts in France & Germany
and many other European countries. Born in Nigeria and schooled in the UK,
Keziah has a unique style of guitar playing and is frequently compared to
Prince no less. His unscheduled appearance at The PP Experience was the
first live gig he has played in the UK for a few years. Currently
recording his new album in London, we are confident that he will want to
play at PP again this year.
Keziah has just released his new album "Black Orpheus",
(produced by Kevin Armstrong) and is now on tour, having just supported The Rolling Stones in Munich.

Charley
Marlowe
"Charley Marlowe" is a bandlike organism that lives on the
instinct in your gut. Eclectic, original, unique, bricolage, 'aural
landscape' mesmeric, sensuous, 'like nothing you've ever blahblahblah',
Girls on Girls, Hot Leather Action, 3 months interest free, wipes off
without fuss, Sounds R Us, Noise U Like, 1 800 Charley Marlowe - why? Because
we're worth it. |

 |
 |
Paul Da Costa Robinson
Most recently Paul has been the co
producer / vocalist / instrumentalist of the band Essen (Clean Up & One
Little Indian). They released an EP "Supernatural" and LP/CD "King Sized Blues" & various instrumental pieces for other labels
(Kickin / Tongue & Groove / Jungle / Middle Earth).
Wanting a change in direction Paul started playing exclusively at acoustic venues and as a result has now formed a new band to perform his own material. Planning to record another LP, Paul has joined up with a producer Peter Coyte AKA
Shape Navigator. |

 |
 |
Simon Kitchener
Walthamstow-based acoustic performer Simon Kitchener, a Vaudevillian take on
Reed, Nilsson and Newman with a hint of punk cabaret has just marked the end
of his first solo year with the release of an EP entitled 'Relax...You Are
Going To Lose Weight'. After gigging with bands for 15 years Simon decided
to go it alone last year, sold his electric and got back to his roots. Twelve months later Simon has played many of london's best acoustic nights,
including Pinkypoos. Simon's live show is a million miles removed from the
"sit on a stool and sing quietly" school of acoustic performance, bringing
presence, confidence and above all a sense of humour to his gigs. |

 |
Anton Walgrave
Anton Walgrave wrote his remarkable debut album for EMI, "The Hum"
under the motto "Music can't be forced". Produced by Kevin Armstrong (guitarist for Bowie/ Iggy Pop/ Morrissey), it has received 4 star rave reviews in the press. This young singer-songwriter from Belgium writes unconstrained lyrics with moving melodies. The Hum contains obvious influences and sounds from the seventies which he combines perfectly with music from the twenty-first century. Anton has been compared to Michael Stipe and
Beck, his live performance is something not to be missed.
